A Formal Office Space for Town Planning Consultants
Designed with a focus on sophistication and functionality, the Prestige exemplifies a refined formal aesthetic tailored for a town planning consultancy firm. The space seamlessly blends meticulous design with practical planning, creating an environment that is both professional and inviting.
DESIGN CONCEPT
Designing a home is a layered process, a conversation between ideas, materials, and the people who will live within the space. For this Pune residence, the conversation began with an open yet thoughtful brief: to create a home that felt vibrant, grounded, and deeply personal. The vision was clear, spaces that reflect character, welcome Colour, and prioritize both comfort and craftsmanship.
WAFFLE CEIILING IN THE MAIN LOBBY
At StudioGH, we approach each project by first understanding how a space should feel. For this home, the intent was to create warmth not through minimalism, but through rich materials, tactile finishes, and Colours that energize without overpowering. The design journey began with exploring how the family lives, what matters most to them, and how the spaces could evolve with them over time.
The entryway gives the first impression, bold black-stained wooden arches frame the space, leading to a custom dining table with a marble top, paired with black wooden chairs. The interplay of materials continues with a handcrafted teak accent chair, walnut-finished TV and pooja units, and a pooja panel adorned with a delicate brass floral mural. Nearby, a striking tile in the common vanity adds a burst of Colour and visual texture, bringing an expressive moment to the space.
GLASS FOR SPACE MAXIMIZATION
The kitchen ties seamlessly into this vibrant scene. Faded yet vivid cabinetry sets a lively tone, complemented by jet black countertops and black glass-front cabinets. The contrast grounds the space, while the palette flows effortlessly with the rest of the home’s material story.
Every room was crafted with an eye for both function and emotion. The master bedroom features a custom wooden and rattan headboard that anchors the room with a sense of calm and elegance. In the kids’ room, the approach was centered around flexibility and joy. The bed was designed with a soft yet striking headboard, setting a playful tone. Rather than locking in a fixed Colour scheme, the palette is brought in through fabrics, cushions, bedding, and upholstery allowing the space to grow and evolve with the child. As their preferences change, the room can change with them.
EFFICIENT SPACE PLANING
Fabric selection played a key role throughout the home. From the rich textures of the living room rug to the soft, inviting cushioning on accent chairs and sofas. Each textile was chosen to bring warmth, comfort, and a touch of tactile luxury, enhancing the home’s overall flair.
The guest bedroom was designed to be compact yet serene, with a layout that maximizes space while maintaining visual openness. Light, custom elements ensure it feels connected to the rest of the home while offering its own sense of retreat.
COHESIVE MATERIAL PALETTE
Throughout the process, the focus remained on thoughtful execution. From custom furniture design to material selection, lighting, and final detailing. Every choice was made with care, creating a home that feels as good to live in as it does to look at.
